Summary: Our stay was incredible. Desmond, our guide, gave us some incredible sights and we were really lucky to see 4 out of the big 5 alongside various other interesting animals.
The reserve is vast and there is plenty to see, the fact that there are various lodges across the reserve means even if you have a fairly quiet hotel, there are plenty of rangers out doing drives which helps your chances of animals being spotted and your ranger making their way there.
The accomodation is lovely, a perfect room with comfortable bed and a view of a watering hole from your private plunge pool. This includes a free mini-bar which is perfect for dipping in to to spend time on the patio.
The food was fantastic, very generous and well cooked portions and the service at dinner from Sheldon and Thambo was perfect.
We weren't renting a car so got a private transfer from Martin who gave us some great info on the drive from PE and it felt like our trip started early!
All in, a perfect stay and I wouldn't hesitate to return. My only regret was only booking two night.
All in all, a faultless stay

Summary: Exceptional property, design, and experience with top hospitality. The common areas are picture-perfect overlooking small waterholes frequently visited by playful warthogs, curious antelope, and brightly colored birds while you eat breakfast and lunch. The villa interior surprised us in every corner from little aesthetic details, unexpected offerings in the cupboard, local bedtime stories at turndown, or staff leaving wine and glasses by the bathtub our first night. The private pools are intimate and welcome tranquil respite in between adventurous game drives during morning and afternoon. Meals were generous and varied with choice. We came for the safari park, but wished we stayed longer for the Lodge experience. Shout-out to Bulelane and his bright and playful character, who made our too-quick trip such a memorable one.

Summary:
If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Our entire stay was nothing short of spectacular. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, with Sheldon, our butler, doing an amazing job to make sure everything was flawless. The meals were absolutely fantastic, and as vegetarians, we were thrilled with the creative and delicious vegetarian dishes prepared just for us—each meal was a culinary masterpiece!
The rooms were breathtaking—beautifully decorated and luxurious, offering total comfort. And the game drives were beyond magical! Our ranger, President, shared fascinating stories throughout, making the experience so much richer. He was determined that we see all the important animals, and we ended up seeing far more wildlife than we ever expected.
This place is an absolute paradise, filled with unforgettable moments. If you're searching for the perfect escape, look no further—you’ve found it!

Summary: My husband and I stayed in November and had the most amazing time at this beautiful lodge. The room was well appointed and private. We stayed in room 2 which had a direct view of the watering hole and we had several visitors including Norman the elephant and water buffalo at night. I recommend requesting this room or rooms 1 - 4 if you want to be near the watering hole. Food was excellent and dinner was nice as all of the guests (only 11 rooms at the lodge) dinned together along with the guides, so we got to make friends. You get two drives a day with your stay. Morning drive at 7 am for about 3 hours, followed by breakfast (you get muffins and tea/coffee before the drive to hold you over). After breakfast you get a break for a few hours where you can enjoy your plunge pool, the hotel pool, or get a massage in your room if you like. Then afternoon drive, followed by dinner. After the drives, we were always greeted with drinks like a hot chocolate in the morning or a cocktail in the evening. Afternoon drives also stop at a scenic location for drinks and snacks. Our guide, nicknamed Fish, was great at finding animals and we got to see almost all of the animals we wanted. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this lodge. The lodge is located about an hour's drive from Port Elizabeth.

Summary: Game quite limited but what we saw was good. You have to drive many miles to find them.
