Summary: We were really looking forward to our honeymoon stay here, especially after seeing all the glowing reviews—and there are many great things about this place. The view is absolutely stunning, there were plenty of linens and towels, a fully stocked kitchen, access to a washer/dryer, and the location is very convenient to town.However, our experience was unfortunately not quite what we expected. When we arrived, the home didn’t appear to have been properly cleaned for quite some time. It felt like it hadn’t been prepared for new guests, which was disappointing and didn’t set a great tone for us. The owner did offer to send the maid over to clean, which we appreciated, but at that point we questioned the maids abilities and we just wanted our privacy.We also had another issue regarding damage to our property but to their credit, the owners were responsive, and everything was resolved fairly by the end of our stay, including a partial refund, which we appreciated.The owners are very friendly and communicative. Just note that the layout includes a shared carport and not too private patio area, so if you’re looking for total seclusion (like we were for a honeymoon), that might be something to consider.Overall, there are definitely positives here and it’s clear that other guests have had wonderful stays. It’s possible our experience was a one-off, but the cleanliness issue was hard to overlook.
