Summary: I think we went in with pretty high expectations considering the price, but those were blown out of the water. First, the place is easily the best stocked rental/hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Every dish, pan, pot you’d ever need, spices galore, sharp knives (unheard of!), and even a watermelon and fresh baked cookies. Everything is so cozy and comfortable. Loads of pillows, blankets, towels, yoga mats, and bath robes. Beds have memory foam on top. Couches are deep and comfy, and great chairs. And, I mean, heated floors in the living room and primary bathroom! We didn’t use the pool, but the jacuzzi was immaculately clean and worked perfectly - with a gorgeous view of the willows and the stars. Marianne and Vito are incredibly kind. Set up a bonfire for us, introduced the girls to the animals, chatted about the history of the place, and dropped us fresh eggs for the morning. Here’s my one warning. This is a working ranch. There’s people giving riding lessons, caring for horses, and generally running the show. We NEVER felt a lack of privacy at all as they did a great job setting boundaries. But you’ll hear ducks, horses, cows, dogs, etc. For us, this was a highlight of the trip. We got to pet horses, goats, and donkeys. During a short hike around the property we came across the three rescued donkeys up the hill. If you’re not an animal person you’ll still 100% have a great stay, but don’t be surprised. In short, we loved staying here.
